About Krochet Kids: Krochet Kids was founded by three high school friends in Spokane, Washington, who liked to snow board and crochet. Their classmates liked their headwear creations and started placing orders from the "krochet kids". During college, all three friends volunteered in developing countries. Stew, in particular, spent a summer in Uganda and met families living for decades in a refugee camp who were looking for opportunities to work and provide for their families. This sparked an idea. While still in college, the three guys traveled to Uganda and met with a group of women and bags full of yarn to teach them how to crochet. Since 2007, Krochet Kids has employed hundreds of people in Uganda and Peru who make the accessories and outdoor gear sold by Krochet Kids.
