It was founded by British couple Catherine and Nick and is influenced by their love of travel with an eye for handcrafted, unique products. Their products are one-of-a-kind and handmade by artisan groups near Lima, Peru using traditional textile techniques of hand and machine knitting, macrame and crochet. Eleven Six primarily uses alpaca wool that is indigenous to South America. The Alpaca have evolved to develop fleece that allows the fibre to withstand the cold as well as the heat of the equatorial region, which means Eleven Six’s clothing can be used across the seasons, keeping you warm in the winter and cool in the warmer seasons. They prioritise the use of natural, eco-friendly and ethically sourced fibres and work with two prestigious Peruvian alpaca mills that comply with the highest sustainability standards.
